But I would be lying if I didn’t say I am a teensy bummed I will no longer be spending my days in class. I love school and learning. I hate how much work it is, but I love doing it. I love the butterflies I get on the first day of class. I love the smell of freshly opened school supplies. This is the first Fall I haven’t had a first day of school in, well, forever. So pardon me if I’m feeling a bit nostalgic…
UH (University of Hawaii) started back up this week and seeing a bunch of my friends writing about it on facebook gives me mixed emotions. My first feeling is pure joy. I’m so stoked that I won’t have any papers to write, dry readings, annoying professors, etc.
BUT THEN, I think of all the things I get to do now that I’m a stay-at-home-mom. Yesterday Eva and I met a friend at Shark’s Cove and we went on a treasure hunt. Today we’re meeting another friend for lunch in Waikiki. For the first time in a long time I have nothing to stress about. It’s both weird and amazing. I’m so grateful I get to do this!
la buena vida.
