Blue Moon Paddle

The full moon was in full force, and we drove up to Haleiwa for the blue moon paddle. Everyone met up at Surf n’ Sea, a well-known surf shop on the North Shore. Some brought kayaks and others brought paddleboards. We were given pupus and glowsticks before we made our way into the bay. The moon shone bright that night and everything was cast in shades of deep blue and purple. From the bay we paddled up the Anahulu River and around Puaena Point. It was a wonderful experience and the perfect way to say Aloha to summer.

  1. That looks like so much fun!!! I may have to check it out before we leave the island. And you’re not alone – my husband and I haven’t had a real date since our daughter was born 5 months ago, either.

Thanks for linking up for Wednesday Walkabout!
