My New Home

Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, East Africa

Well, the moment is FINALLY here… I’ve arrived in my new country. I don’t have time to say much other than I’m super excited and extremely exhausted from all the traveling. I’m not sure if/when I’ll have Internet at my house, so I don’t know when I’ll be able to update again. This still all seems pretty unreal, though, so I’ll try to find time to write about it as soon as possible. Wish us luck!

  1. hi.

long time reader. first time commenting.
that is crazy that you are in Tanzania. I went on a mission trip there for two weeks. It is so beautiful. I loved my time there. ( I especially loved going on a safari there and seeing all the animals out in the open.)

I also went to Twentynine Palms, CA before to visit a friend who was stationed there. and yup, there is nothing to do there. haha.

    Enjoy Tanzania.

  2. My dearest Erica and baby E,

I hope all is well. Please let me know if there is anything I can send you like books, crafts, paints etc. You are an amazing artist and now you will not be able to go online maybe you can dedicate some time to painting. Teach Baby E her letters, numbers and kinesiology. I will visit you soon, come home for Charro Days.

    Love you,
    Mum

  3. Wow! It looks like you are on the coast and will likely be able to surf as well. What an experience for your wee family. I am happy your momma will visit you all soon. I agree with your mum “start painting”. Stay well and be happy Erika.
    love from your mum’s friend,

  4. wow! Nope def didn’t’ guess that! My best friend from high school spent a month there a couple of years ago and now her brother is there for 6 months volunteering at an orphanage and my friend is going there to spend Christmas. She loved it there!

  5. Exciting! I was thinking you should sign up for my giveaway but don’t think you can get much use out of it now πŸ˜‰

I hope you guys have a blast and don’t get too homesick. I know that feeling well. Can’t wait to read all about it!
