Baobab Home

Last week we drove about 1.5 hours to deliver Christmas presents to children at the Baobab Home, an orphanage in Bagamoyo. I’ll admit, I have never donated to Toys for Tots before. If everyone had the opportunity to actually be there when the presents are delivered, donations would skyrocket. The excitement of these kids when they receive brand new toys is priceless.
The Boabab Home was started by an American expat who I had met on my second day in Africa. She has done some pretty amazing things for these kids, to include helping get a new school built. I’m hoping to return to help out as much as I can while I’m here. It would be a lot easier if it were a bit closer. Still, I’m grateful to have this opportunity.
