A Day in the Life

Day 15, Wednesday: A Day in the life (include photos from throughout your typical day – this could be “a photo an hour” if you’d like)
6am– I usually wake up around then. I wouldn’t dare take any pictures and risk waking up the princess, though. This is my “me” time, where I check e-mails and even try to answer some.
7am- Evita wakes up around this time. I’ll be on the floor with my iPad and I’ll hear a little voice calling from behind the mosquito net, “Hi!” “Hiiiii!” I proceed to lift up the mosquito net, climb in bed and cuddle with my baby for a few minutes before starting our day.
8am- After Evita eats breakfast I go for my morning run on the treadmill.
9am- I’ll take her outside for a few minutes to let her expend some energy before her morning nap.
10am- Off to the gym for some strength training!
11am– I cook lunch, which usually involves some variation of chicken breast and brown rice.
12pm– If the weather is cooperating, we hop on a bejaji to the Yacht Club.
1pm– We play in the sand and water for a bit before heading home.
2pm- Bath time!
3pm- If Evita hasn’t had an afternoon nap by now, she’s definitely ready for one. I’ll wear her in the kanga while getting some household chores done until she falls asleep.
4pm- Eva eats her formal dinner somewhere between 4 and 5. She’ll have some of whatever we eat later, but I like to make sure she’s fed before the afternoon in case we end up eating too late for her.
5pm- Wine-o-clock, duh.
6pm- Evita and I read books, do flashcards, etc.
7pm- Eva goes into full terrorist mode somewhere between 5 and 7 pm. It’s like her witching hour, or whatever.
8pm- At this point we’re usually settling down with a movie or TV show. Eva’s letting off her last bit of energy.
9pm- Eva usually crashes somewhere between 8:30 and 9. She’ll usually just fall asleep on our laps while we’re watching TV.
10pm- Bed time. 🙂
