Loving: The weather in Dar. Ever since I got back it has been absolutely wonderful. It finally feels like winter to me (at least the winters I’m used to). The temperatures have been around 78-82 degrees Fahrenheit with cooler evenings. Perfection.

Feeling: A little sick, actually! :-( On Monday Evita came down with some sort of stomach bug, which seemed to hit me about ten times worse. She continued to play and run around in between vomiting, while I was glued to my bed feeling absolutely miserable. She’s 100% fine now, but I was left with lingering stomach issues and a voice that is barely there (I am also super congested for some reason). This isn’t supposed to happen to me. I was breastfed as a baby. I have a 26-year-old immune system built up to support me. But I think I jinxed myself the other day when I told someone how I never get sick. Ugh. Does that happen to you? I need to start knocking on wood when I say those things.

Anticipating: Our upcoming trip to Italy. Other than plane tickets, we really haven’t planned it out yet and are open to ideas for things to see, etc. if you have any.

Wearing: Fatal Clothing ♥ I first discovered their brand back in Hawaii a couple of years ago, and fell in love with the unique, artsy shirts. Totally my style. Well, yesterday my husband and I got a huge box FULL of goodies from them. It’s funny, because I think mail time is something expats here look forward to 1,000 times more than anyone else. A box from the States usually means bits and pieces of home, whether it be care packages full of snacks and other fun things from friends and family, or stuff we order online because we don’t have Targets or a decent mall. Anywaaaayy, receiving our Fatal box yesterday made it feel like Christmas in our home. I’m so excited to have new (and super sick) threads to wear.

One of the new shirts I got and decided to wear today. :)

Watching: My first week back in Tanzania has been pretty tired and lazy as I’m trying to catch up on sleep. This has created the perfect recipe for vegging out with TV shows. My husband and I finally started Game of Thrones so that we could see what all the fuss is about. It’s pretty entertaining, and we’ve already made it to the start of Season 3. I started watching Mistresses back in Texas and it’s alright too. I haven’t been able to catch up on Dexter or True Blood out here, though, which is a bummer.

Reading: I’ve been popping in and out of my husband’s book, Moscow Station. It’s not a book I would have chosen myself, but my husband asked me to read it aloud when we were driving one day and I was intrigued. It’s about how the KGB penetrated the American Embassy in Russia. There’s stuff in there you think only happens in movies; but the truth really is stranger than fiction.

Writing: Still nothing. I thought I felt a bit of inspiration coming along the other day and it turned out to just be the stomach flu. Hah.
