We survived the first part of our journey, but it wasn’t over yet. We spent our first full day in Virginia driving around looking at apartments and townhomes. When we finally got home we were so exhausted that we both fell asleep around six…
…and woke up at 2am. Jet lag has been very difficult for both of us. A few hours later we made the hour drive to Baltimore to catch our plane down to Texas. Eva was happy to be greeted by her Papo and warm weather.
Saturday we spent the day with Eva’s first (and only) cousin, who is finally old enough enough for Eva to interact with. And by interact with, I mean steal toys from. Hah.
My mom, who had been out of town all weekend, arrived Sunday afternoon, and we spent some time with her before heading off to watch the Super Bowl.
My Dad had a little Super Bowl party for our extended family. Eva got to open Christmas gifts that had been waiting for her…
It was a very, very busy week for baby Eva.
1. Eva saying bye-bye to our house in Tazania.
2. Counting in Spanish and pillow fights with Nana
3. Playing with Cousin Isla
4. Bad-influence Aunty
