I still have a few good ideas for blog posts floating around in my brain, but every time I sit down to write them I get distracted by other things. It has been a busy week. My BFF in the whole world was visiting over the weekend, it was my mom’s birthday, and I’m planning a trip up to San Antonio and Austin soon. The gears in my mind have been rolling nonstop. And I feel like I’ve neglected this little space for too long. So… how about a brain dump?
One thing that has me bummin’ is my Ergo. You know how much I love babywearing. I wear Damian 2-3 hours a day, and I still wear Eva from time to time. Well, after arriving in Texas from Virginia I noticed that one of the straps on my Ergo had been damaged. All I could think is that it must have happened on the plane or in the airport somewhere. Traveling alone with two kids is hard, y’all. Well, eventually one of the straps completely split open:I contacted Ergo to see if it could be repaired, but they said the best they could do was offer me a 20% off coupon for a new one. I feel like I just bought that Ergo, and am not really ready to drop $100 on a new one, especially since mine is still usable (but maybe not safe?). What bummed me out the most is that I’ve promoted Ergo SO MANY TIMES on this blog, and I know of at least a handful of people who bought an Ergo because of my recommendation (See: here, here, and here for example). I do know one thing… I’m a baby blogger. So if I’m going to drop a bill on a new carrier I will at least do so on one I’ve never tried before… Any recommendations? I have my eye on a tula but haven’t decided yet.
Another thing that has been on my mind is Eva’s third birthday party. When did I become a mom to an almost-three-year-old? Time is flying, and the party is less than three weeks away. I finally decided on a venue and theme. It’s going to be at the Birding & Nature Center, where we spent a lot of time anyway. The theme will be Butterfly Garden Party. I started a board on Pinterest so if anyone sees anything you think I might like, send it over my way!
I’m looking forward to my upcoming mini-road trip. Hopefully it will be filled with lots of stories to share.
